Course Content
Massage for beginners. Covers shoulders, back, neck, legs and arms. Massage strokes include effleurage, friction, kneading, wringing and percussion.  You will learn how to massage and then will enjoy the benefits of receiving one. By the end of the weekend you will know enough to be able to give a massage to family or friends. This is a very relaxing weekend and an ideal introduction to massage if you are intending to take the massage certificate course.

Entry Requirements
The introduction to massage weekend covers massage for beginners. There are no entry requirements.

Qualification Attained
This course is not accredited, however a Manchester School of Massage 'Introduction to Massage' certificate of attendance can be provided if required.

Further Information
The Introduction to Massage course is mainly ‘hands on’, pairing up to give and receive a massage. Course times are from 10.30 am to about 4.30 pm depending on the group size.
If you have ever wanted to learn how to massage your family and friends then this introduction to massage weekend will give you a good grounding in the basic techniques and theory of massage therapy. The venue is at Allen Hall, Cromwell Range, off Wilmslow Road, Manchester, M14  in South Manchester. Allen Hall is on a major bus route from the city centre, including bus no's 41, 42, 43 & 46. There are shops and takeaway's nearby for lunch or you may wish to bring a packed lunch. Please book early to ensure a place on a particular course as the introduction to massage weekend is our most popular course.
